Joseki Judo and Ju-Jitsu
started out as the Juniata College Judo Club, which
became an independent member dojo of the United States Judo Association
in 1991. The name was changed to Joseki
Judo and Ju-Jitsu in 2000 after the club was taken
private by Master Jan Finkbeiner.
The dojo is currently part
of Allegheny
Aikikai Aikido and Joseki Judo and Ju-Jitsu, Inc.,
formed by Jan Finkbeiner and
David Hurtubise. AAA
and JJJ, Inc. was created in 2004 as a
not-for-profit enterprise to promote aikido, judo,
and ju-jitsu in central Pennsylvania.
Instructors at AAA and JJJ are not paid a salary;
they contribute their time and their expertise
because of their dedication to the martial arts and
their desire to pass on a tradition of high quality
martial arts practice.
