After college Mr. Drenning
continued to stay involved with wrestling and was an
assistant at Waynesboro High School and Glendale
High School. He also continued to teach Sambo at
Hollidaysburg Family Fitness, Rapid Fitness, and
Genesis MMA. Mr. Drenning participated in the Arnold
Classic No-Gi Naga event during 2005 and took first
place in the Advanced Heavyweight Division. He again
participated in the Arnold Classic No-Gi grappling
event during 2008 and took 2nd place at
Light Heavyweight. During this period of time Mr.
Drenning would sporadically train at Joseki Judo and
Ju-Jutsu in order to improve his Gi throws and
technique.
Mr. Drenning started
training at Joseki Judo and Ju-Jitsu in 2012,
and he is currently an assistant coach for Joseki
Judo and Ju-Jitsu. However, he mainly
teaches at his dojo in Saxton PA: Drenning Martial Arts.
He currently holds the
rank of shodan
(1st dan) through the United
States Judo Association and he has a brown
belt in BJJ. He works as a corrections officer at
SCI Smithfield in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
